Sheila Waller-Kellen
President
SHEILA WALLER-KELLEN lives in Toronto with her husband and two teenagers- the eldest has profound Unilateral hearing loss. Sheila is the Board President of Ontario Hands & Voices and is passionate about growing OHV and being able to help families all across Ontario.
Sheila is also the program coordinator and Early Childhood Development Specialist at the Rumball EarlyON ( a child and family centre that specializes in families with children with hearing loss 0-6). She is passionate about helping families connect and create relationships to reduce the isolation some feel with a child with hearing loss.

Janet Nasmith
Board Member
JANET NASMITH has been a teacher of Deaf and hard-of-hearing students for approximately thirty years, working with children and youth from preschool to grade 12. For much of her career, she worked in the Provincial Schools Preschool Home-Visiting Program, teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers and their families. This rewarding position allowed her to support families in several localities, from Belleville to Northern Ontario and James Bay. Recently retired, Janet continues to teach in casual and Long Term Occasional positions through various school boards. Janet's involvement with the Deaf community has included serving as a Community Development Board member for the Canadian Hearing Society - Simcoe York Region Branch, and later as a volunteer with Hands & Voices in the Ottawa area.

Rosary Kwak
Board Member
ROSARY KWAK lives in Toronto and is first and foremost the parent of 3 children with hearing loss. Today she likes to tell people she is a professional parent as, along with being a volunteer on the Ontario Hands & Voices board, works as a Service Coordinator for the Infant Hearing Program within the Family Support team. She helps parents navigate the system, problem-solve common and uncommon challenges and encourages families to meet and support each other. In the past Rosary has also served as a SEAC committee representative, was instrumental in the initiation of CAS approval of helmets that accommodate hearing aids and CI’s and successfully advocated to have ASL adopted in the International Languages Elementary program in Toronto.

Travis Morgan
Board Member
TRAVIS MORGAN is a Deaf parent of two children, one with hearing loss, based in Sudbury. His work has been to advocate for resources for Deaf children to gain access to resources that allow them to learn language, communicate in an accessible format and develop healthy bonds with their families. He is currently in the process of acquiring his RSSW and BSW. He currently, along with being a volunteer member of the OHV board, is a consultant and refers individuals seeking to learn sign language to appropriate resources in Northern Ontario. He also consults with Cambrian College, Greater Sudbury, Health Science North and Ontario Health on disabilities and communication matters.

Bronwen Alsop
Board Member
BRONWEN ALSOP is the mother of two children: a son who has profound sensorineural hearing loss with an absent nerve and cochlea where he wears a Cros II aid, and a daughter with mild bilateral high-frequency loss. Brownen and her family live in Toronto. Bronwen herself has personal lived experience navigating our medical systems in Ontario and is eager to help families who find it difficult to navigate it themselves. Bronwen, along with being a volunteer on the OHV board, works as an Infant Hearing Screener with Oak Valley Health Tri-Regional Infant Hearing Program, has been a TDSB SEAC representative, been the previous Chair fo the Board of Directors for Voice for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children and is dedicated to advocating for families with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
